When I was 20, I came back to my grandfather's Northern Michigan house, keeping a promise I made to him to care for him in his older years. Grandpa's cottage was built in the 1930's, and purchased by him in 1970. I spent summers here, gardening, canning, raising chickens, making wine, and I have inherited his pioneering spirit and tenacity. Over the years, I have worked to turn it into my dream country home, a welcoming place of quiet and calm; a haven for my family and friends.
